Optometrist / director Roy Bhatia has worked for the vast majority of multiple Opticians over the past 16 years and found there simply wasn't always the time to provide quality eyecare, consequently the whole process sometimes appeared a little rushed and impersonal. One of the reasons Jaqueline Burns Opticians opened was to provide the Marlborough community with the highest standard of eyecare with all products, services and advice under one roof.

He then worked as a self employed optometrist in Wiltshire.
Having listened carefully to the people in and around Marlborough, it became clear there was a need to provide the local community with the highest standard of eyecare with all products, services and advice under one roof.
Roy specialises in contact lenses & dry eye, Glaucoma diagnosis and monitoring, Wet and Dry Macula Degeneration (ARMD) diagnosis, councelling and management, Low vision aid help, high prescription management with spectacles and contact lenses, Varifocal fitting, & Eye nutrition and eye health.

The appointment incorporates all of the thorough checks of our comprehensive examination as well as allowing the time us to dilate your eyes for a more thorough inspection and in the case of a condition requiring urgent treatment, the time to contact an Ophthalmologist at the Hospital Eye Services or your private provider directly, to make a same-day referral for immediate care.
