Andrew is an extremely experienced optometrist. Graduating in Optometry in 1991 and qualifying in 1992 after a qualifying year in Lincoln county hospital and Boots Opticians he went on the locum throughout Yorkshire, settling in Beverley and was a founding partner of Andrew & Rogers Optometrists in 1998. He has also worked at the eye clinic at St James University hospital in Leeds, as well as Leeds corneal laser centre.
Andrew specialises in complex contact lens management, eye disease consulting and visual stress management. Among his many accolades he has been short listed for contact lens practitioner of the year. Roger graduated in 1990 with a degree in Optometry and Vision Sciences from The University of Manchester, winning the overall course prize along the way.
Roger met Andrew in Lincoln whilst they were both working at the Lincoln County Hospital. He now splits his time between Andrew & Rogers Optometrists and the University of Hull Teaching Hospital NHS Trust Eye Clinic where he works in both the paediatric and glaucoma clinics.

When looking at distant objects, the light entering the eye focusses before reaching the retina, and thus becomes out of focus when it does reach the retina.
Hence things far away look blurred.
These were the first commercially available myopia control contact lenses available in the uk, and have been available through Andrew & Rogers since 2018.
Our results with them are inline with their research and we feel confident using them to treat myopia.
A number of companies now have specific designs of spectacle lenses to control myopia.

A 45 minute appointment includes a full private eye examination, with 8 scan OCT, photography and eyewear needs consultation.
