Borrowash Opticians
Borrowash Opticians provide a full eye examination and dispensing service from young children to senior citizens, both private or NHS. If you have a red eye or symptoms of flashes and/or floaters please contact us immediately for an appointment. Borrowash Opticians stock some of the best designer & basic frames, a style for each individual. Been going for eye tests & contacts for almost 2 years since moving to the area - the service is excellent.

I have also been taking my kids since they were 3 and 4. David is excellent with the kids (especially a 4 year old who won't sit still!). They take their time, are happy to answer any questions, and even helped me with a DVLA form.
Services
At Borrowash Opticians we aim to provide high quality, professional eyecare, in a personal manor.
We carry out full eye examinations for everyone from infants to senior citizens, for both private and NHS patients.
All elements of the eye test and supplementary tests, including retinal photography, visual fields and tonometry, are all carried out by registered Optometrists.
We cater for all contact lens requirements and the dispensing of all forms of spectacle corrections.
Emphasis is placed on taking time with patients to ensure all their individual needs are addressed in a relaxed environment.
All sight tests are carried out by Optometrists David Strachan or Bill Tegala, including all supplementary tests which may be required.
All contact lens requirements can be catered for with all fittings and after care checks carried out again by David and Bill.
We are registered with the NHS to provide shared care services with the hospital for contact tonometry and children's eye screening.
Chellaston Opticians take your eye care very seriously, and always make sure that you get the very best service.
Borrowash Opticians take eye health very seriously, which is why an eye test is the most important service we provide.
Your eyes and the area around them will be examined, to look for signs of injury, disease or abnormality.
If you already wear glasses or contact lenses, remember to take them with you to your sight test.
You may be asked to wear them during the test.
If you have a red eye or symptoms of flashes and/or floaters please contact us immediately for an appointment.
You will either be given an appointment or details of your symptoms taken, and an Optometrist will phone you back to arrange an appointment or advise you over the phone.
Here at Borrowash Opticians we know an eye test can be a little overwhelming for some children.
Especially if it's their first one.
That's why we've made the whole process as welcoming, as fun and as child friendly as possible.
While there are aspects which are similar to an adult eye test, the children's test does use equipment and a number of techniques which have been adapted to their specific needs.
This doesn't mean your child's eye test will be any less thorough or insightful - allowing your optometrist to make an in-depth assessment of eye health, vision and expected levels of development and growth.
Borrowash Opticians can provide glasses with a whole variety of lens types to fit any individual.
The type of lens depends on your vision needs, most of the time you will only need Single Vision glasses.
Single vision lenses are designed to correct sight at one distance only, with a single prescription covering the entire surface of the lens.
For individuals that have more than one site requirement, BiFocals & Varifocals are better suited.
Bifocal lenses are divided into two parts to accommodate a combination of any two different prescriptions into one lens.
