In the front room of a normal house in Bream David Kear Opticians was born. Since the beginning, in 1962, patient care has been the focus of our business. Our clinicians have no sales targets and are not tied to specific manufacturers freeing them from the restrictions experienced by high street chains. Whatever your visual requirement, spectacles or contact lenses, whether an NHS or Private patient, we believe you will be well looked after at any of our three locations. Scott Wroe is the second generation in a family practice that has been established since 1988.
He qualified as a hearing aid audiologist in 1998 and trained at Aston University in Irrigation and Microsuction earwax removal. He is a Fellow of the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists as well as a member of the British Academy of Audiology and works with hearing impaired patients at Hereford's private Nuffield hospital working with referrals from ENT consultants and GP surgeries.

We offer economy and high end designer eyewear and provide impartial advice concerning the most up to date lens options.
All locations have modern computer controlled Thomson sight test charts which provide improved accuracy and adaptability compared with standard charts.

Our Cinderford practice has two consultation rooms on the first floor.
A stair lift is provided, but examinations can take place on the ground floor when necessary.
Spectacle dispensing and collection take place in a dedicated ground floor area.
Fundus photography is available at this location and patients are welcome to undergo Optomap and OCT scanning in our Lydney location if required.
