Under the guidance of Basil Barke, Alan's father, Zeiss Opticians was established in Tewkesbury in 1985 and Stratford upon Avon in 1995 with the collaboration of ZEISS Germany.
The goal was to provide exclusively ZEISS product using the most advanced technology of its time, to conduct the best eye examination possible.
The folk at the shop couldn't have been more helpful, they helped with new lenses, they spent ages to source frames for me along with several other alternative frames, nothing was too much trouble.
