Douglas Dickie Opticians was founded in 1988 by optometrist Douglas Dickie. Duncan and Todd acquired the practice in 2000 and Mr Dickie continued to practice optometry until he retired in 2003. To date, there are still 4 members of the original Douglas Dickie team employed at the practice. The practice now has comfortable, personal areas for dispensing alongside advanced equipment for thorough eye examinations.
Mr Dickie had a passion for contact lenses and this is still existing within the current Douglas Dickie team. The Group also operates the state-of-the-art laboratory, Caledonian Optical which provides lenses to the Douglas Dickie branch, as well as over 200 clients across the UK. To help businesses across the UK and Ireland satisfy HSE legislation requirements, the Duncan and Todd Group also provides VDU, Safety and Driver eyecare solutions via Smart Employee Eyecare.
