Had my first eye test here today, I was very impressed with the service I received.
The staff are all very friendly and was a great help when it came to me selecting a new pair of glasses.

This allows the optician to explain what the back of your eyes are telling him about your eye health, and your general health to a certain degree with things such as blood pressure control, cholesterol levels, macular health etc.

No more looking at a box on the wall whilst wearing frames into which lenses are put in and removed.
You simply look through what is called a Phoropter Head, directly at a screen with a chart on it.
It is a bit like looking through a pair of binoculars, as simple as that.

When you go for your sight test, tell your ophthalmic practitioner that you're entitled to a free NHS sight test.
If you don't qualify for a free NHS sight test, you will have to pay for a private sight test.
