We know when it comes to eye care that you and your family have an opportunity to choose from a wide range of optical practices. It is for this reason that we are keen to explain why we think our practice is right for you. We believe in offering first class eye care to our patients and with a small team in support we think that the unique service that we provide is second to none in the Tamworth and Lichfield area as well as further afield.

We believe that most people want a friendly, professional and caring service where they feel they are not being hurried. They also want an opportunity to choose their eye wear needs from a wide selection of good quality spectacles and contact lenses at competitive prices. Your eyesight is your most precious sense and deserves the highest standards of professional care.

After all, without good vision it is difficult to enjoy everyday activities such as reading, driving and watching TV. Poor sight may also indicate the presence of potentially serious eye diseases such as glaucoma and macular degeneration or general health problems like diabetes and high blood pressure.
Services
Providing a unique service, Colin Beeson is a well-known optometrist, practicing for over 30 years in both high street and hospital environments.
The practice offers a bespoke service that is very difficult to find elsewhere.
Our aim is to deliver the best standard of eye care to all our patients in a friendly, professional environment.
We do not just do 'sight tests'.
We provide a full NHS and private eye examination service using the latest technology and techniques.
Hospital standards are matched with our scanning and imaging systems which allow us to accurately visualise and record the appearance of all parts of your eyes, giving unsurpassed diagnostic capability.
The eye examination that you receive reflects the high quality of our resources, the extensive leading edge technology used and the extended time required for the comprehensive procedures involved.
We take every step available to provide a solution for your eye care needs and will not rest until you are satisfied.
Dry eye syndrome is a common problem which results from either poor quality tears or reduced tear production.
The normal function of tears is to lubricate the surface of the eye.
Dry eye means the tears evaporate more quickly leaving the front surface of the eye exposed, subsequently leading to dryness.
We are able to evaluate the quality of your tears using both simple diagnostic tests and advanced tear film analysis.
This enables us to offer advice and treatments to help reduce your dry symptoms.
The MPOD is a device which analyses the macular pigment optical density contained within the centre of the retina.
Macular pigment is a yellow pigmented substance which helps protect the retina from the harmful effects of blue light and also helps the retina maintain healthy function through its anti-oxidant properties.
Reduced macular pigment density levels can mean the retina is vulnerable to developing age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the principle cause of vision loss in people aged over 50.
Introducing Ortho K - a vision correction therapy that provides clear, comfortable vision without the need to wear contact lenses during the day.
No more restrictions on how long you wear your lenses, no more irritation in dry smoky environments or at the end of a long day.
Find soft contact lenses do not fulfil the comfort demands their life-style places on their eyes.
Are involved in recreational and sports activities where periods without wearing contact lenses is ideal.
Have considered refractive surgery because of the freedom it provides, but are worried about the risks.
