The Eye
For the time being we will operate a one person at a time policy and adjustment, repairs, dispensing and collections will need to be done by appointment. Each of these will require a different amount of time so please call or email the store to book to ensure we can give you the time you need. We won't turn away anyone who simply turns up, but they may be asked to return later as we will have to fit them in with existing appointments.

Please wear a face covering when you come to the store, there may be times when you will need to remove it but only if you feel comfortable and it is safe to do so. All frames, sunglasses and measuring devices will be sterilised after each use using UV-C sterilisation and all surfaces and equipment will be cleaned with 75% isopropyl alcohol.

We will have alcohol-based hand sanitiser at the front of the shop and masks, visors and gloves readily available, as well as regular hand-washing facilities with single use paper towels. We are now able to perform eye examinations if your prescription has expired or you feel it has changed.
Services
And we believe in service.
It's a combination of all these elements that has allowed the store to move from strength to strength'.
The Eye Company was first established in 1994 and moved to Soho in 1997.
I started as manager in 1999, and became an owner shortly after.
Although I was passionate about the existing business, I wanted to take it in a new direction - a direction that has been exceptionally well received.
Spectacles are more fashionable than they've ever been, and the basis of our service is providing the best ones.
We spend a lot of time getting to know our customers to understand exactly what they need.
Our good, honest advice and support means that our customers always make their best choice from our extensive range of eyewear and contact lenses.
We prefer to offer superb optician-designed frames - not fashion brands.
If we can't find exactly what we want, we'll make it ourselves for our Bertie Hudson range.
To change how you look can be an unnerving experience.
It's better to take time to decide, rather than make a hasty purchase you'll regret.
We are located in Soho, an eclectic and vibrant part of London's West End, ideal for our clients from TV, film, theatre, media and fashion - as well as from all other walks of life.
Soho is a fashion hub, full of people who appreciate our style.
It's a brilliant place for us to be.
Our staff are highly experienced professionals.
Although they will give expert advice on spectacle sizes and shapes, they know the bottom line is that glasses should reflect the personality of the wearer.
They always take the time to really try to understand each customer, so that they have full confidence in their decisions.
You'll always receive a warm welcome at our London store.
We draw on a wealth of design knowledge to ensure you have bespoke glasses that complement your personality, fashion or film project.
Whatever you need them for, our custom glasses will deliver beyond expectations.
We are spectacle historians, with a passion for all aspects of historical and vintage eyewear.
As well as being one of London's leading experts in custom glasses, we also have a great passion for collecting vintage pieces - particularly styles from the 1920's to the 1980's - and have examples that date back to the 18th century.
Of course we want to provide you with a pair of spectacles perfectly tailored to your look and sense of style, but we're also equally concerned with the long-term health of your eyes.
The fitness of your eyes is as important to us as the design of your eyewear, which is why our eye tests use only the best in eye examination technology.
A Spectralis Eye Health Check conducted by one of our expert opticians will examine the health of your inner eye in such great detail that we'll be able to spot the first tell-tale symptoms of glaucoma, diabetes and other optical conditions.
