With over 40 years experience as an Optometrist he has become one of the most respected members of the Optical community bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to our patients and other team members.
Peter has been part of the team since 2009 with over twelve years experience including practicing as a resident optometrist at Plymouth Hospital among other highly regarded independent opticians.
Following in Christophers footsteps Ben joined the family practice in 1999.

The sight test is the most important part of your visit to our practice, so we have made sure all of our equipment is up to date.
We can screen your eyes for any underlying diseases, so a test is not just for spectacles.
However if you feel your sight has changed before your sight test is due, we will be more than happy to see you sooner.
People named on an NHS certificate for partial help with health costs (HC3) may also get help.

To this end in recent years we have invested over 100,000 in equipment for diagnosing eye conditions ideally before any problems are encountered.
We now have in our consulting rooms a Ocular Coherence Tomographer, Pentacam, Fundus Camera and field screener, not all of which are applicable to everyone.
To allow time for using such equipment we have lengthened the standard appointment time to 40 minutes and instituted an additional charge for NHS patients of 38.00.
To this end in recent years we have invested over 100,000 in equipment for diagnosing eye conditions ideally before any problems are encountered.

We have two Zeiss Diagnostic Instruments that are invaluable in advanced eye examination and referral for medical opinions where necessary.
They have reduced our need for specialist opinions in many cases.
Zeiss have now installed an additional imaging programme whereby we can monitor progressive changes over time.
The only Retinal camera which can photograph the retina for problems such as age related macula degeneration (ARMD) and additionally determine the density of the pigment in the macula, which is an early indicator of ARMD.
They have reduced our need for specialist opinions in many cases.
