This boutique optician believes today's glasses are less about 'seeing' than being 'seen'. Our aim is to offer you something different; a level of service that will make you smile and a stylish interior with a hand-picked collection of beautiful eyewear.
We curate our glasses from all around the world attending big trade shows like Silmo Paris and Mido Milan. We believe in understated chic and our ethos follows a new wave of opinion that fashion should not be elitist with unachievable costs. We want people to feel they can come in to shop, have fun trying on different frames and enjoy the experience.

The undisputed inspiration behind the look and feel of OP & TOM, Louise, likes nothing more than up-cycling and sourcing out quirky furniture to create a welcoming and interesting space.
Louise is hugely passionate about eye wear and loves unearthing hidden gems from the fashion shows of Paris and Milan.
She is also a very experienced optometrist and will take great care of your eyes on your visit to OP & TOM.
Originally from Ireland she has now been in Newcastle for over 13 years which just about qualifies her for Geordie status! Louise is pretty handy on the football field and arguably a better player than Tim.
